Hello, I am Desi

​European-born and American-raised, I have spent most of my life feeling the pull of both worlds. After years of keeping up with a pace that never let up, I hit a wall. A flight to Paris changed something. I came home slower, more deliberate, and certain that the kind of travel I wanted to design for myself and for others looked nothing like what I had been doing.

​Having a child changed everything. The rushing stopped, not by choice at first, but eventually by conviction. I started planning trips the way I had learned to live: with less packed in, more time to breathe, and always a great meal to sit around for as long as we wanted.
